The company of the Usó Prades family was established in the 1950s in the Barcelona's Mercat del Born, one of the wholesale markets at that time. Since its beginnings, its core values are based on transparency and good work. Core values that are linked to two of the company's main goals: meeting customer's needs, giving them the best possible service, and offering always the best quality.
This long history, with more than 40 years of experience, and our continued commitment to our customers has borne fruit and now, the second generation of this family is one of the most recognised benchmark companies in the sector.
With its head office in Vila-Real (Castellón), a privileged place of the Mediterranean region, Frutínter, S.L. is in charge of the production, marketing and distribution of citrus fruits, mainly oranges and mandarins, other fruits like melons and watermelons and different seasonal vegetables.
The long history of our company has taken us to different places. Our history begins in a little oranges' handling and packaging storehouse in Alqueries. Then, it continues in the 1960s in a little warehouse in Lérida and grows with a new warehouse of 4,000 m2 in Alqueries. 1982 marks the origin of our manufacturing plant is in Vila-Real, a cornerstone of our history. Since then, it has been constantly growing and was expanded in 2014 with the opening of our new plant in Onda (22,000 covered m2).
The handled product has been evolving and changing its origin according to the production varieties and the current customer demand, transforming the production of pome fruits. In the 80's, we also began to produce and market melons and watermelons.
